There’s no counting the worlds Jeremie Albino has travelled to get to where he is today, and no telling which ones he might head to next. Born and raised in the bright and booming metropolis of Toronto, his heart led him out of the city and into Prince Edward County, where country living and a decade of working on farms gave him the time and space to hone his songwriting skills. His music nods to all manner of troubadours who rambled down similar paths throughout history—he nods slyly to the legendary blues singers who inspired him, offers a soft and insightful touch with his folk songs, and stomps and swaggers through soulful rock ‘n’ roll. But Jeremie Albino is a natural and an original, created by an alchemy that favours, above all else, that most mysterious and coveted of qualities: heart. And his wildly impressive up coming debut, Hard Time, overflows with it.
The sagas of out-sized characters and the vivid imagery they pass through are given proper treatment by the peaks and valleys of Albino’s music, dynamic enough to conjure something light as the sway of flowers in the wind, or the grandeur of an apocalyptic storm. “They’re stories I wrote that came from daydreams,” Jeremie explains, “about life, love, people, and another time.”
Hard Time represents a slew of firsts for the young songwriter. Before embarking on the recording, he’d never been in a studio, played with a band, or worked with a producer. Jeremie’s earthy Americana has never been laid to tape until now. And Hard Time sounds just as untouched by pretension as you’d expect from a musician who got to this point simply by letting his heart lead the way. The first recordings were laid down at the Bombshelter in Nashville with producer Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes, Hurray For The Riff Raff, Langhorne Slim), and the rest was finished off at Union Sound in Toronto with Crispin Day. Get ready for it, coming out on Cinematic Music Group and Sleepless Records summer 2019.

THE REDHILL VALLEYS
With powerful, earthy harmonies, rootsy guitar licks, and timeless lyrics, The Redhill Valleys emerged with a force onto the Canadian music scene in 2016. The three-piece Americana alt-country group, whose name pays homage to their hometown of Hamilton, Ontario, is composed of Chelsea McWilliams (Bass/Vocals), Tim Allard (Lead Guitar/Vocals), and Matt Soliveri (Drums). The band doesn’t shy away from nostalgia, drawing influence from artists such as Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Neil Young, The Band, and Fleetwood Mac.
After releasing their two-part EP, Travel Well, in 2022, The Redhill Valleys’ single “Anymore” garnered significant praise, including winning first place in American Songwriter Magazine’s lyric contest and receiving regular airplay on SiriusXM’s North Americana, CBC Country, and Tom Petty Radio. Winners of Group or Duo of the Year at the 2025 Country Music Association of Ontario Awards—and previously nominated for that honour alongside Roots Artist or Group of the Year for three consecutive years—the band has built a loyal fanbase through extensive touring across Canada, with standout appearances at Boots and Hearts, Big Sky, and Cavendish Beach Music Festivals, as well as international performances in the U.S. and U.K., including three shows at C2C: Country to Country 2024, Europe’s largest country music festival.
Driven by a passion for creating connection through music, The Redhill Valleys are also committed to accessibility in the arts, proudly supporting initiatives like the AIFEC music education program and Hamilton’s City Kidz. With the release of their reimagined take on The Wallflowers’ “One Headlight,” alongside original tracks like “Making Rumours,” “Rhinestoned,” “Ready To Roll,” “Make It Out Alive,” “I Know You’re Gonna Leave,” and their latest single “Easy Come Easy Go,” the band continues to honour their influences while expanding their reach and pushing creative boundaries.

Counterparts is a Canadian metalcore powerhouse from Hamilton, Ontario consisting of members Brendan Murphy (vocals), Kyle Brownlee (drums), Tyler Williams (bass, backing vocals), and Jesse Doreen (lead guitar). The band is recognized as a leading force in the metalcore revival and contemporary melodic hardcore scene with their releases steadily climbing broader recognition—from underground acclaim (Difference Between Hell and Home in 2013) to (Heaven Let Them Die in 2024). A Eulogy for Those Still Here released in 2022 marked a refined blend of melodic heartache and crushing hardcore—signal of maturity and artistic depth while Heaven Let Them Die is an evolution toward heavier, darker territory. Counterparts continue to bring high energy performances through extensive touring having played Bloodaxe Festival (Kawasaki, Japan), Louder Than Life (Lexington, KY) Furnace Fest (Birmingham, AL), Reload Festival (Sulingen, Germany), Bautz Festival (Lüdenscheid, Germany) and several headline tours in US, Canada, Japan, Australia in 2025 alone.

The fast-rising Texas-based five-piece I Promised The World have released a new self-titled EP via Rise Records, their first project with the label. Recorded at Timber Studios in Bayonne, NJ with Jon Markson (Drug Church, DRAIN, Stay Inside) and Adam Cichocki, I Promised The World opens quietly with “Proud” before exploding into the band’s full screamo / Midwest emo / post-hardcore push, setting the tone for an EP that never lets up. The EP captures a moment of choosing intention over drifting, presence over distraction, and treating the future as something you actively build instead of wait for. I Promised The World documents that turning point: the tension between who they were and who they’re becoming, where nothing has technically changed, but everything feels different. It’s both a reset and a declaration—the sound of a band committing fully to itself. Born out of tragedy, the band started after vocalist/guitarist Caleb Molina lost his father in 2020 due to COVID. Though the band—completed by vocalist Hunter Wilson, drummer Mason Zschau, guitarist Mason Nowlin and bassist Aidan Vickers—didn’t actually form until a few years later in 2023, their existence is intrinsically linked to his death. I Promised The World has always been both an extension and expression of Molina’s grief. But, as the band’s new self-titled EP demonstrates, it now also exists in defiance of it, as a celebration of Molina’s dad’s life. In the two short years of the band's existence, they’ve seen tours with Deafheaven, Midrit and Koyo.

A Mourning Star is a six-piece metalcore band formed in 2021 in Vancouver, BC. Drawing from late ’90s and early ’00s metalcore and melodic death metal influences, The band quickly gained attention with their debut To See Your Beauty Fade and followed up with A Reminder of the Wound Unhealed in 2023. In 2025 they released another EP titled Necessity Has Clipped My Wings. The band has toured across Canada and the U.S., with the most notable runs being with bands such as Misery Signals, and Serration. Known for their eclectic sound and DIY roots, A Mourning Star have become a standout in the new wave of Canadian metalcore.

After two years of not being able to do a LIVE AcousticXmas Concert, this Dec23, our Annual Hamilton Holiday Fundraiser is back and dare I say shaping up to be bigger than ever.
Still keeping the intimate vibe that has always made the show such special & unique Hamilton holiday fundraiser for so many but the lineup this year is going to be even more incredible than you might possibly imagine.
The huge generous support from this community & all the tickets donated still allowed us to raise $96,543.17 to 19 different charities and that was with the concert being canceled at the last minute. Many folks just donated the money for their vip tables and tickets they had purchased. It was incredibly inspiring!
This year we are hoping to raise & give away lots more money to the many charities needing our support again & we couldn’t do that without folks like you! VIP sponsorship packages and donation opportunities are still available!!
